Charcoal Black #98
This black gives a uniform shade without a lot of color separation or spotting. It tends to be mostly black on the edges, fading to a dark grey in the middle.
This black is totally different than Tie Dye Black #92, Solid Black #95 and Hot Jet Black #96.
It can appear to have a slight greenish cast, however we didn’t even notice a green tint until we photographed the sample to publish here and the photo didn't quite match what we could physically see. Included in this listing are two photos. One is a slightly modified photo to more closely match what we see when we look at our samples, and the other is exactly as it came out from the camera. Although the color tends to be mostly black on the edges, fading to a dark grey in the middle, the photo exaggerates this more than it actually appears on the fabric. Some colors are very difficult to get good representative photos of!
We have not yet tested this color for Ice Dyeing.
The color swatch representing this color was dyed at a dark shade (6 teaspoons dye powder) and a light shade (1/2 tsp dye powder).
